NEW ORLEANS — A triple shooting Monday afternoon in the Lower 9th Ward left a 28-year-old man dead and injured a 52-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, police said.
The shooting happened about 1:30 p.m. near the corner of St. Claude Avenue and Tupelo Street, said officer Hilal Williams, a New Orleans Police Department spokeswoman.
The 28-year-old man died at a local hospital, Williams said. The man’s name was not immediately available.
The 50-year-old man was shot in his leg, and the 20-year-old man was shot in his hand, Williams said. Their injuries were not serious.

NEW ORLEANS — A 36-year-old man was shot Friday afternoon while working on a home in the 7th Ward, police said.
The victim was working on the home near the corner of Columbus and South Galvez streets when he went downstairs about 10:10 a.m.
Two other workers who were on the job with the victim told police they heard a gunshot and went downstairs to find the victim with a gunshot wound to his neck.
Police did not provide a description of the gunman or identify a motive.
NEW ORLEANS — Police arrested a 21-year-old woman after she alleged cut a man on the head on Friday evening.
Police allege Angelic White approached the 27-year-old victim while he was working in the 2200 block of Decatur Street about 12:20 p.m. and tried to slash his tires.
When the victim tried to stop White, police said, she cut the victim on his head.
White ran away, but police later found her and arrested her. She remained jailed Monday on a $15,000 bond, according to Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office records.
NEW ORLEANS — A man was found shot to death inside an eastern New Orleans home Friday evening, police said.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, was found inside the home in the 5200 block of Basinview Drive about 5:15 p.m., police said.
He was shot multiple times and died on the scene.
Police have not identified any motives or a suspect.
NEW ORLEANS — A 17-year-old boy raped a 16-year-old girl late Friday, police said.
The incident happened about 11:35 p.m. in a home in the 3400 block of Touro Street, according to a preliminary police log.
No other details were immediately available.
NEW ORLEANS — An 18-year-old man was recovering at a hospital on Friday after he was stabbed several times outside of his home.
Police said the victim was in front of his home in the 3700 block of Garden Oaks Drive in Algiers when a man known as “Leon” walked up to him.
Police said at that point the victim turned to go inside, “Leon” grabbed him from behind and stabbed him twice in the shoulder, as well as in the throat, chest and right armpit.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police have issued a warrant for the man.
NEW ORLEANS — Police are investigating two armed robberies that happened early Saturday in the French Quarter.
The first robbery happened about 12:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of Royal Street.
Police said the victim, a 31-year-old man, was walking in the area when an armed man walked up to him and ordered him to “give me what you got.”
The victim handed over $15, and the robber ran away in an unknown direction.
The second robbery happened about 1:33 a.m. in the 900 block of North Rampart Street.
The victims, a 23-year-old woman, a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, were walking to their hotel room when an armed man walked up to them and demanded their money.
The victims handed over $100 in cash, and the robber ran away in an unknown direction.
Police have not said if they believe the robberies are related.
NEW ORLEANS — Three teens allegedly beat a 55-year-old man during an armed carjacking Saturday evening in Faubourg Marigny, police said.
Three men walked up to the victim about 4:55 p.m. in the 900 block of Spain Street and implied that they had weapons, police said.
The men then demanded the victim’s car, beat him and then drove away in the vehicle.
Police arrested the suspects — a 15-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy and another juvenile — a short time later.
NEW ORLEANS — A woman was robbed Saturday night in the driveway of her Lakeview home, police said.
The 75-year-old victim was in her driveway in the 6300 block of Canal Boulevard when about 7:15 p.m. a small, dark blue car pulled up. A man got out and grabbed the woman’s purse and ran down Canal toward Bragg Street, police said.
The robber is described as a black man who wore a dark hooded sweatshirt, black shorts and is in his mid-teens to late 20s.

NEW ORLEANS — A shooting late Saturday in eastern New Orleans left a man dead, police said.
The victim, whose identity and age were not immediately available, was found face up in the 6000 block of Chef Menteur Highway about 10:10 p.m.
Paramedics brought him to a local hospital where he later died, police said.
NEW ORLEANS — A man was shot and others were injured during a home invasion late Saturday in eastern New Orleans, police said.
The incident happened about 10:45 p.m. in a home in the 13400 block of Granville Street.
Two women knocked on the door, and when the man answered, another man shot in him in the chest, according to a preliminary police log.
The gunman also hit another of the home’s occupants in the head and face with the gun, according to the police log. Another occupant grabbed a pipe and hit the gunman in the head, police said.
Police arrested Errol Blozin, 19, and Christine Molinario, 30, in the incident. Investigators continue to search for another woman and two other men who are alleged to have taken part in the incident.
The man who was shot was listed in stable condition at a hospital, police said.
NEW ORLEANS — A man was in critical condition at a hospital after he was shot in the stomach late Sunday outside a Gert Town store, police said.
The 39-year-old victim was leaving the store when two unknown men followed him to a car wash across the street, police said.
The men opened fire on the victim, who was shot in the stomach. The bullet exited the man’s buttocks, police said.
Police did not provide a description of the gunmen.
NEW ORLEANS — A 27-year-old woman was raped early Monday in eastern New Orleans, police said.
The incident happened about 2:30 a.m. in the 5000 block of Chef Menteur Highway, according to a preliminary police log.
Police said a “known” man was responsible for the sexual assault but did not identify a suspect. No other details were immediately available.
