The Sixth annual Pelican Point Hot to Trot fundraiser is set from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Burnside subdivision. Proceeds from the event, which features a run, raffles and pancake breakfast, benefit the Fifth Ward Volunteer Fire Department.

Drama Kids International is operating Ascension Community Theatre’s summer camps, ACT officials have announced.
The drama workshops will be held June 10-14, June 17-21 and June 24-28 in Gonzales.
Instruction will include tips on writing, movement, vocal techniques and design of sets, props and costumes.

Leadership Ascension’s Fit Ascension Project is hosting a family crawfish boil fundraiser Saturday at Don’s Seafood Hut in Gonzales.
Fit Ascension is raising money to add seven outdoor fitness stations at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center’s lake, Leadership Ascension representatives said in a news release.
Leadership Ascension is a program conducted by the Ascension Chamber of Commerce.
The crawfish boil, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature food, music by the Eddie Smith Band and inflatables for children.
The Bayou Lafourche Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will sponsor a free Credit Repair and Identity Theft seminar at 6 p.m. May 2 at the Ascension Parish Library in Donaldsonville, 500 Mississippi St.
