Girls on the Run 5K
Run for a good cause.
WHAT: Girls on the Run 5K.
WHEN: 7:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4.
WHERE: Grounds of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center, 6400 Perkins Road.
REGISTRATION: $25 before May 2; $30 race day; free children 7 and under with adult entry.
DETAILS: The 5K will start at 9 a.m. with music, games and food beginning at 10 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the Girls on the Run of South Louisiana Scholarship Fund, allowing more than 600 girls in need of financial assistance the chance to participate in the group’s 10-week after-school program.
