ST. AMANT — A father and son in St. Amant were arrested after allegedly being found in possession of marijuana, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday.
Deputies were sent to the residence of Audie Decoteau and his son, Austin, to investigate complaints of alleged illegal drug activity, Maj. Kevin Hanna said in a news release.
Narcotics detectives searched the residence and the vehicle of Audie Decoteau, where they seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Hanna said.
Audie Decoteau, 51, 14233 Billy Decoteau Road, St. Amant, was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on one count of possession of marijuana as well as an active bench warrant from Livingston Parish.
Austin Decoteau, 17, who lives with his father, was booked on counts of marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession. He was released from jail Tuesday on a $1,085 bond, but Audie Decoteau remained in jail Wednesday in lieu of a $742 bond.
