Students compete at  speech, theater fest

Talented Theatre students from Amite and Sumner high schools participated in the SLU Regional Speech and Theatre Festival on March 15.

The Dramatic Duo teams of Jacob Moore and Austin McDaniel, and Kirsite Newman and Marie Dykes earned superior ratings and made it to the finals, Talented Theatre teacher Charley Vance said. Carlee Applewhite earned a superior rating in Poetry Interpretation and also made it to the finals, he said.
