Louisiana Science Fiction Film and Costume Festival opens Friday

The Louisiana Science Fiction Film and Costume Festival begins at 6 p.m. Friday, April 5, and runs through Sunday, April 7. The festival will take place at Embassy Suites on Constitution Avenue.

Celebrity guests, including Gil Gerard from the Buck Rogers TV series and Theodous Crane and Michael Koske from The Walking Dead, will attend.

Friday’s activities include a Rocky Horror Picture Show costume and makeup workshop and screening of the movie musical. Saturday will feature workshops in costume, prop making and filmmaking. Saturday evening will feature a costume ball and gala.

The festival, which is expected to draw attendees from throughout the country, ends Sunday will with more workshops and screenings. Vendors selling costume accessories and T-shirts will attend.
