LSU hits four home runs in 8-0 victory in a baseball game at Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Christian Ibarra hit two of the LSU baseball team’s four home runs as the Tigers crushed Missouri 8-0 Saturday night in Taylor Stadium.

Mason Katz hit his team-leading 12th home run, and freshman phenom Alex Bregman added the other.

LSU (25-2, 7-1 Southeastern Conference) broke open the game with a five-run fifth inning that included a two-run triple from Katz. Missouri (9-14, 2-6) was shut out for the second straight game by LSU, which has hit five home runs in the two games against Mizzou.

The game was delayed from its scheduled 1 p.m. start until 6 p.m. because of rain.

The teams finish their three-game SEC set at 1 p.m. Sunday.
