FUN FACT:

An actor in the guise of Edgar Allan Poe made a quick visit to the Red Stick in March for the Poe Party in Town Square, in association with the library’s 2013 One Book One Community pick, the works of Poe. He was much taken by the area’s azaleas, gumbo and hospitality. He even squeezed in time to visit another legendary figure, Mike the Tiger.
