The Livingston Parish Farmers’ Market hosts a farmers’ market from 7 a.m. to noon each Saturday in the New Covenant Baptist Church parking lot in Denham Springs.
Shoppers will find fresh, seasonal produce and fruit plus grain-fed beef without added hormones, fresh and smoked pork, unprocessed honey, fresh yard eggs, homemade hot sauce, pastries and kettle corn. The market will also feature craft vendors offering soy candles, goat milk and honey lotions, soaps, quilts, jewelry, clothes and plants. The Livingston Parish Arts Council will host Arts Camp 2013, “Salute to Movies,” a summer arts camp for children in grades 1-5 from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. June 3 to 12 at South Live Oak Elementary School, 8400 Cecil Drive, Watson.
Youth will paint and draw; make pottery, jewelry and crafts; play music, sing, engage in creative dance and movement, and perform skits.
The cost is $145 per child, and a nonrefundable $50 deposit is required to reserve a place for each child. The camp is limited to 70 students.

The Arts Council of Livingston Parish hosts a Flower Garland Vintage Junkie Workshop designed by artist Shelly Frederick from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday and on April 25 at the Hummell Street Gallery in Denham Springs. Using vintage paper, old fabric and trim, buttons and crystals, participants will learn how to make a beautiful hanging garland. The fee is $45. Registration is required by calling (225) 664-1168.
Miracle Place Church, 2130 Florida Blvd., Denham Springs, holds a Spring Family Festival on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The festival will feature an egg hunt, egg dying and inflatables. A city-wide Easter sunrise service will be observed at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at Denham Springs Train Station Park. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Vernon Phillips, pastor of Church of God. The worship leader will be Kevin Thompson. An offering will be taken for the Family Resource Center. The event is being sponsored by the Denham Springs and West Livingston Kiwanis Club.
Christ Community Church holds a free Community-Wide Easter Egg Hunt with 25,000 eggs Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at North Park in Denham Springs.
