METAIRIE — Cup and Chaucer, a new café located inside the East Bank Regional Library, has opened for business. The library is at 4747 W. Napoleon Ave., Metairie.
Cup and Chaucer will be open during the same hours as the library: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The café will shut down 45 minutes before closing time for employees to clean.
The cafe will serve soup, salad, sandwiches, pastries and cookies. It also will serve coffee and espresso drinks; it sells Community Coffee products.
Patrons who order from the café can sit inside in the foyer area where tables and chairs are available. Patrons also can sit outside in the courtyard area.
The café also is available for those who prefer takeout. Menus are available at the counter.
