Early voting for the April 6 election begins Saturday and ends March 30. The following races and propositions are on the ballot, according to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office. The runoff election, if needed, is May 4.

To levy a 30-year, 5-mill property tax, generating an estimated $2.2 million a year, for levees, hurricane protection and drainage.
To levy a half-cent sales tax, generating an estimated $6.25 million a year, to fund the Iberia Parish Levee, Hurricane and Conservation District operations.
