‘In which bicycles
Goat in the Road Productions debuts a radio performance serial, “This Sweaty City,” in a live performance at the Shadowbox Theatre. The serial is a “magical realist story about the inhabitants of a water-laden city ... in which bicycles have personalities and bureaucratic offices operate on moving steamboats.” Twelve episodes are planned over three years. Director Ricky Graham and the Rivertown Theaters bring the children’s fairy tale into the future, but not all the way, with a 1960s-inspired version originally produced at the Children’s Corner of Le Petit Theatre.
