Eighth-grade students in Lynn Moak’s English class held a Victorian Tea at St. Theresa Middle on Feb. 13 as part of a classroom assignment after reading Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

Students were given subjects to research from the time period, such as fashion, authors of the time, political situation, weather, food and songs.

Students’ grandparents were issued a personal invitation to attend the tea.

At the event, students gave a brief presentation on the researched material.

The students donned period costumes for the event.
