Pam’s Party Line for March 7, 2013

Boy Scouts gives highest honors to 5 local volunteers

BY PAM BORDELON

There can be few things as rewarding as positively impacting the life of a child. Toward that end, the local councils of the Boy Scouts of America annually bestow their highest honor, the Silver Beaver Award, on a deserving adult volunteer.

The Istrouma Area Council recognized five individuals with this prestigious award Feb. 24 at a reception at the Catholic Life Center that also honored the 2012 class of Eagle Scouts.

Honorees included Sidney F. Egnew Jr., Patricia Ann Luttrull, C. Cammack Morton, Edward S. Rapier Jr. and Norman Stewart Jr. Paula Gail Lappin received the Venturer Silver Award, the highest award in the Venturing program.

Congratulations to you all!
