A 35-year-old Baton Rouge man has been indicted in the 2008 shooting death of another man during an argument on Azalea Park Avenue.
An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury Thursday charged Rodrick Dewayne Coleman, 5665 McClelland Drive, with second-degree murder in the killing of Anthony C. Hall, 22.
A second-degree murder conviction would carry an automatic sentence of life in prison.
An arrest warrant alleges Coleman fatally shot Hall around 11:30 p.m. on July 20, 2008, in the 15100 block of Azalea Park. Hall ran away after being shot several times but collapsed and died in the 1000 block of Manson Drive, which is where deputies found him, the warrant says.
The case has been assigned to state District Judge Bonnie Jackson.
