Enchanted Strawberries & Cream
Serves 6. Recipe is by Corinne Cook.
6 cups fresh strawberries, rinsed and dried on paper towels
¼ cup powdered sugar
½ pt. whipping cream
1 tbl. Grand Marnier
1 tsp. almond extract
1. Remove caps and slice strawberries in half.
2. Combine berries with powdered sugar and stir gently. Cover and allow to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
3. Beat whipping cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in liqueur and almond extract.
4. Spoon sweetened berries into pretty glass or bowl and place dollop of cream over top.
