As part of the national Souper Bowl of Caring, the Holy Ghost Catholic School Student Council sponsored their own 'Souper Bowl' to collect non-perishable food items. Since 1990, the national organization has encouraged young people to take up a collection of food items to feed those in need, school officials said. Students at HGCS spent the week leading up to the Super Bowl bringing in canned/nonperishable food items. After donating an entire truckload, members of the Student Council helped load the items for Tangi Food Pantry.
