Rhinestone Cowgirls and Cowboys was the theme for the 2013 Livingston Parish 4-H Fashion Revue held recently at Southside Elementary in Denham Springs.
4-H members from across the parish participated in the event. The contestants were required to sew a garment and turn it in prior to the contest for them to be judged on construction. The contestants then participated in the appearance judging, where they modeled in a fashion show.
About 25 4-H members participated in seven divisions.
The winners in the apron division were Olivia Barnes, Holden Elementary, first place; Josie Purvis, Albany Middle, second place; Sydney Durham, Doyle Elementary, third place.
Winners in the skirts division were Cassidy Charpentier, Doyle Elementary, first place; Marnita Blount, Holden Elementary, second place; Josie Andres, Southside Elementary, third place.
In the pants division the winner was Camille Berthelot, Northside Elementary, first place.
The winners in the skirt and blouse division were: First place Rebekah Hinson, Doyle Elementary; second place Maeghan Staley, Live Oak Middle.
In the dress division the winners were Makaylah Herring, Holden School, first place; Skylar Brandon, Springfield Middle, second place; Peyton Manotas, Juban Parc Junior High, second place; and Karlie Riché, Doyle Elementary,third place.
In the sportswear division the winner was Makenzie Herring, Holden School, first place. The winner in the senior casual division was Makenna Labranche, member at large.
In the just for fun division the winners were Cassidy Charpentier, Doyle Elementary, first place; Makaylah Herring, Holden High, second place; Sydney Durham, Doyle Elementary, third place; Claire Lazaroe, Southside Elementary, fourth place.
The overall junior dew with cotton winner was Cassidy Charpentier, Doyle Elementary and the overall senior sew with cotton winner was Makenna Labranche, member at large.
