HAMMOND — A Ponchatoula man arrested in Livingston Parish after fleeing during an attempted traffic stop has been linked to a Sunday home invasion and shooting in Tangipahoa Parish, authorities reported Wednesday.
Jarred Dotey, 20, remained in jail in Livingston, but faces prosecution on various felony counts in Tangipahoa, including home invasion, said Dawn Panepinto, a spokeswoman for the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office.
Dotey, while armed with a gun, entered a residence Sunday and demanded money, Panepinto said in a news release.
After hearing other voices in the residence, Doety went down a hallway as family members escaped through a window, Panepinto said.
Dotey followed them, shot one in the shoulder and stole her purse, according to the release.
