The February meeting of the Teen Anime Club at the Main Branch of the Livingston Parish Library featured more than anime. Teens were given the opportunity to create a beeswax candle shaped like a piece of sushi, the first of a series of similar events that will be held for teens and tweens throughout the month.

“I wanted to do the sushi-shaped candle during Anime Club because anime is Japanese-based animation and the theme just fit,” Youth Services Librarian Stacie Barron said.

Adults also were invited to make candles this month.
