Fourth-seeded Episcopal routed No. 29 Grace Christian 8-0 in Division III bidistrict play of the girls state soccer playoffs Friday.
Episcopal got two goals from Nicole Newton, Lindsay Redhead and Sadie Spring. Summer Rynes and Adair McCanless each scored one goal in the win.
Episcopal goalkeeper Moira Fontenot did not have to record a save in the shutout.
The win improves Episcopal to 18-7 as Grace Christian finishes 4-9.
Episcopal will travel to face Metairie Park Country Day at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the regional round.
MANDEVILLE 11, LIVE OAK 0: Eighth-seeded Mandeville got four goals from senior Delaney Sheehan in a shutout of 25th-seeded Live Oak in Division I bidistrict play.
Sheeha’s fourth goal was the 200th of her career as a Lady Skipper, including 55 this season.
Mandeville also got three goals from Isabel Barrios and two from Elaine Burbank. Mia Dubroc and Madeline Day had one goal each.
Carly Allison got the shutout in goal for Mandeville. Mandeville will host Baton Rouge High at 6 p.m. Wednesdau at Sidney Theriot Stadium in regional action.
PARKVIEW BAPTIST 4, NORTH DeSOTO 0: No. 11 Parkview got goals from three players to move on in Division III state playoff action.
The Eagles got scores from Ayser Sheika, Daniel Myers and Nick Owens with the fourth coming on an own goal.
Parkview goalie Nick Kirsch had three saves to push the Eagles’ record to 10-7-2.
PBS will face the Grace King-Loyola Prep winner in the next round.
CATHOLIC-BR 3, CENTRAL LAFOURCHE 0: Three players scored a goal as the Bears won in Division I bidistrict play.
Trey Poche, Patrick Betts and Chris Bordelon all scored for Catholic.
Bears goalkeeper Conner Rabalais had one save while Central Lafourche keeper Forest Berdin had six saves.
UNIVERSITY 7, Ouachita Christian 0: University’s Carter Stone scored three goals in a romp over OCS in Division III playoff action.
Matthew Johnson, Manny Miles, Luke Wagner and Thomas Kobetz also scored for the Cubs. Johnson also had three saves in goal for U-High. Ouachita Christian Kyle Mayfield had eight saves while Ian Robinson had four.
