LAFAYETTE — Applications for state standardized testing are now available for home school and non-public school students who are interested in enrolling in Lafayette Parish public schools next year.
Students in fourth and eighth grade are required to take the Louisiana Educational Assessment Program or LEAP test.
The iLEAP tests, given to students in third, fifth, sixth and seventh grades, also will be given to students in home school or in-home private programs. Students in non-public schools are ineligible for iLEAP testing.
The registration deadline for both tests is March 8.
The first phase of the LEAP exam will be March 19 with make-up dates March 21-22 and the second phase will be April 8-11 with make-up dates on April 12-17.
For the iLEAP, testing dates are April 8-11 with the make-up dates on April 12-17.
