New Orleans office Sales Assistant/ Receptionist

The Advocate has an opening in the New Orleans office for a Sales Assistant/ Receptionist. Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:The New Orleans Bureau Sales Assistant/Receptionist will be responsible for providing the best service to all customers and employees doing business with The Advocate. The New Orleans Bureau Receptionist will assist call-in and walk-in customers assist in placing any advertisement, news briefs, or circulation orders, receive payments, assist advertising sales representatives in processing ads, and perform a number of clerical duties essential to the department’s daily routine.Required Education, Prior Work Experience & Specialized Skills and Knowledge:Successful candidate must have a High School diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in clerical and customer service/relations. Must have considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, basic office equipment, and filing and records management systems. The New Orleans Bureau Assistant should also have excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, customer service skills, communication skills, basic writing and editing skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
