LPB reschedules ‘Public Square,’ other shows

Because of technical difficulties, Louisiana Public Broadcasting’s Wednesday night lineup did not air.

These programs have been rescheduled.

“Louisiana Public Square” will air at 11 a.m. Sunday. The topic of this month’s discussion is “Newtown: A Louisiana Perspective,” which looks at how the national discussion about gun control, school safety and the treatment of the mentally ill could affect Louisiana.

Panelists included Louisiana State Police Supt. Col. Mike Edmonson; lawyer Lewis Unglesby; Dr. Betty Muller, child psychiatrist, Lafourche Parish school system consultant and faculty member at the Tulane School of Medicine; and state Sen. Neil Riser, of Columbia, who sponsored the Louisiana gun rights constitutional amendment.

“NOVA: Rise of the Drones” will air at 3 p.m. Sunday, and “Life on Fire” will air at 4 p.m. “Nature: Attenborough’s Life Stories” will air at 10 p.m. Monday.
