The LSU women’s tennis team did not fare well on the final day of the Clemson Winter Indoor Classic on Sunday in Clemson, S.C.
The Lady Tigers lost four of five singles matches to Tulane, and the Green Wave won five flight championships at the Clemson Indoor Tennis Center.
The Green Wave finished with a 20-6 overall record in singles and doubles and claimed four of the eight titles in singles and one in doubles. Kansas took home three singles crowns, while host and 22nd-ranked Clemson collected one singles title and three doubles flights.
No. 24 LSU opens its 16th season under coach Jeff Brown on Monday against Southern Miss. First serve is 1 p.m. in W.T. “Dub” Robinson Stadium, and admission is free.
The Tigers were 15-11 last season, and the Golden Eagles finished 9-15.
