Baton Rouge police said Friday that a woman involved in an accident Thursday on Coursey Boulevard has died.

Gladys Sonntag, 90, 11162 Paddock Ave., died Thursday evening at a hospital after the crash in the 11000 block of Coursey Blvd., police spokesman Cpl. L’Jean
McKneely said in an email.

Sonntag, who was driving a Toyota Camry, was attempting to make a left turn from Coursey to American Way when she was struck by a 2008 Honda Accord traveling east on Coursey.

The Camry then struck a 2008 Infinity SUV that had stopped at the stop sign on American Way and Coursey.

The drivers of the other vehicles suffered moderate to minor injures. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
