Seventeen members of the Gonzales Garden Club met Jan. 9 at the Gonzales Public Safety Center.
LSU Agricultural Center professor Charles Johnson talked about “Fruit Trees Both Useful and Beautiful.”
The group donated $300 to Project Kidz Kove representative Pam Cagnolatti. Project Kidz Kove is set to build an all-access park in Gonzales.
Club President Janis Poche opened the meeting after lunch.
Marilyn Rice presented a horizontal floral design of purple and gold mums, and Jamie Trisler brought an arrangement of white mums with dusty miller and aloe.
Hostesses for the meeting were Lorraine Gautreau, Barbara Guillot, Loretta Ramirez, Poche, Cathy Venable, Ellen Richmond and Gail Lonibos.
Hospitality Chairwoman Mira Mire presented Johnson with a thank-you gift.
