Golf benefit

WHAT: Terracon Golf Benefit for Capital Area CASA Association.

DETAILS: Registration is under way for the second annual four-person scramble. Proceeds will help CASA reach its goal of providing trained advocates for abused and neglected children in need of safe and permanent homes.

Battle social

Help to raise funds for The Emerge Center, formerly the Baton Rouge Speech & Hearing Foundation.

WHAT: Battle Against Autism social, part of a series of events to raise funds for the center.

WHEN: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Sweetheart Dance

Support the patients and families served by Baton Rouge General.

WHAT: Baton Rouge General Foundation’s 20th annual Father/Daughter Sweetheart Dance.

DETAILS: The event will include food and a night of dancing with dad. There will also be a raffle drawing with prizes including four round-trip Southwest Airline flight passes, a $200 shopping spree to the American Girl store in Dallas, and a two-night hotel stay at the Westin Galleria Dallas. Tickets are $50 each and only 500 will be sold.
