Pancakes and sausage are on the menu Sunday for the Gonzales Lions Club’s annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes fundraiser from 7 a.m. to noon at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center gym.
Tickets are $7 and include a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee and entertainment by Center Stage Performing Arts Academy students.
Money from the event is used to support the club’s projects, including eye care for area residents in need.

The Rock Church is hosting “All Pro Dad Simulcast” on Saturday featuring retired and former professional athletes.
The simulcast, which originates from Indianapolis, will include talks by former Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy, retired NFL player Lorenzo Neal, retired NBA player Clark Kellogg and Tommy Bowden, a college head coach, a news release from the church states.
Fathers and grandfathers are invited to the program, which is set from noon to 4 p.m. at the church, 42080 Churchpoint Road, Gonzales.

Calling all former East Ascension High School softball players for the school’s first alumni softball game Saturday.
Games are set from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lady Spartan field, Irma Boulevard next to the Gonzales Civic Center.
Admission to watch is free, and jambalaya lunches will be sold for $5.
The Ascension Parish Inclusive League is hosting basketball games at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday at the Galvez Middle School gym.
The all-inclusive league also will have games Feb. 2 and Feb. 9.
AARP volunteers will be providing free tax assistance on Wednesdays and Fridays starting Feb. 1 at the American Legion Post 81 hall, 421 E. City Park Ave, Gonzales.
Assistance will be offered from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. through April 10.
Those seeking help are asked to bring proof of identification, last year’s tax returns and tax documents.
Members of the Gonzales Lions Club are accepting applications for four summer camps held at the Louisiana Lions Camp north of Leesville.
Camps, which start June 2, are held for youths ages 5 to 15 with pulmonary disorders; youths ages 8 to 19 with mental disabilities; ages 6 to 14 with diabetes; and youths ages 7 to 19 with visual, hearing or orthopedic impairments.
The camp is free. Area Lions Clubs sponsor children’s stay at the camps.
