NEW ORLEANS — Students in the French immersion program at International School of Louisiana were awarded with certificates for short films in the 2012 Francophone contest, sponsored by the American Francophone Center (Centre de la Francophonie des Amériques), LSU College of Education, CODOFIL, LCIS, AATF and the Consulat général de France à La Nouvelle-Orléans.
The contest was open to all students of French in Louisiana from elementary to high school.
ISL students submitted eight short films. The task was to compose a poem, drawing, photo, video or a song about your personal feelings and ideas of one of 10 French words, such as “histoire,” “autrement” and “caractère.”
A jury selected the works, which will be published on the blog “francophonie louisianaise” and used to promote French throughout Louisiana.
