Friday was the first Board of Supervisors meeting for new University of Louisiana System President Sandra Woodley.
She announced plans to tour the University of New Orleans, Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the UL System’s six other campuses between Jan. 18 and Feb. 20. Woodley said she wants to meet with administrators, faculty, students, staff and community leaders on each campus.
Also during Woodley’s first meeting, the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors elected Gerald “T-Boy” Hebert, of Kenner, to serve as vice chairman. Board Chairman Wayne Parker named Jimmie “Beau” Martin Jr., of Cut Off, as parliamentarian.
