NEW ORLEANS — Members and supporters of Citizens for 1 Greater New Orleans gathered recently to honor outgoing leader and founder Ruthie Frierson and to welcome new chairwoman Laura Politz.

The party was held at the Iberia Bank on St. Charles Avenue. Notables attending included Iberia CEO Daryl Byrd; Jay LaPeyre, former president of the Business Council; Suzanne Mestayer and Greg Rusovich, of the Business Council; Mayor Mitch Landrieu; former U.S. attorney Jim Letten; District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro; state Reps. Walt Leger and Neil Abramson; and City Council members Susan Guidry and Stacy Head.
