ZACHARY — Officers with the Delta Narcotics Task Force concluded a three-month investigation of alleged drug-dealing at two Avenue G residences with arrests at both houses Thursday, Police Chief David McDavid said.
After the drug raids, Zachary police arrested two people accused of burglarizing one of the houses, McDavid said.
Officers found marijuana, 18 doses of the painkiller Lortab and cash at 4735 Avenue G and arrested Tyrus “TC” Johnson, 25, of the same address, on counts of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and illegal possession of Lortab, McDavid said.
At 4779 Avenue G, officers found both crack cocaine and powdered cocaine, along with a pistol and cash, McDavid said.
They booked Roger “Roger Rabbit” Hill, 53, of the same address, at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm with drugs, the police chief said.
Police returned to Hill’s residence after getting a report that it was being burglarized, and they arrested two people, Lacrisha McKenzie, 26, 4873 Clayton St., Baton Rouge, and Mary Johnson, 23, 4795 Avenue G, McDavid said.
McKenzie was booked with simple burglary, illegal possession of stolen property and possession of a “legend drug” without a prescription, McDavid said. Johnson was booked with simple burglary, the police chief said.
