Dr. Joseph E. Bisordi, FACP, executive vice president and chief medical officer of Ochsner Health System, was named to the American Medical Group Association’s board of directors.
The American Medical Group Association, headquartered in Alexandria, Va., represents medical practices, independent practice associations and integrated health care delivery systems.
More than 130,000 physicians practice in AMGA member organizations, providing health care services for 120 million patients.
As Ochsner’s chief medical officer, Bisordi is responsible for overseeing physician performance and clinical operations within Ochsner’s eight hospitals, 38 health centers and 860-physician multispecialty group practice.
Touro Infirmary dietitians will lead a free seminar on healthy eating strategies to kick off the New Year at noon Wednesday. The seminar will be held in the Foucher Room on the second floor of the hospital, 1401 Foucher St.
Learn strategies for weight management and eating habits you can stick with, such as how to monitor serving size and portions and how to track what you eat. The dietitians will also talk about the pros and cons of trendy diets. Light refreshments will be provided.
