Starting Phil Cramer and Lisa Shattuck. Opens Thursday, Jan. 10, at 8 p.m. at the Dryades Theater, 1232 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd., Thursdays through Sundays through Jan. 27. $15. Go to www.newnoise.org.

BURLESQUE AT THE HOUSE OF BLUES

Poles apart from a modern strip show, Bustout Burlesque features Evangeline the Oyster Girl in an authentic example of the ribald stage performance of the 1950s, when imagination and style subverted Eisenhower-era repression. Two curtains Friday at House of Blues: 8 and 10:30 p.m. 18 and up, $22 and $50. (504) 310–4999.
