Morning and afternoon classes begin Jan. 7 at the South Regional branch and on Jan. 8 at the North Regional branch.
Classes offered include basic computing, basic Internet, PowerPoint, Facebook basics and email basics.

Starting Jan. 3, the Iberia Parish Library will offer a “Cyber Café” on Thursdays in its large meeting room at the Main Library branch.

Two family-owned businesses will be honored during the Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation’s third annual Upper Lafayette Success Stories event scheduled 11:30 a.m. Jan. 17 at the Acadian Companies auditorium, 2916 N. University Ave.
The event will honor Bryan Tabor and family of Ace Plumbing and the Breaux family of Breaux’s Mart.

The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce holds its annual banquet at 7 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Cade Community Center.
The event will feature a keynote presentation by Louisiana Public Service Commissioner Scott Angelle. Also, Cathy Indest of the Iberia Cultural Resources Association will receive the organization’s Civic Service Award and state Rep. Taylor Barras will be acknowledged for 15 years of commitment to the Leadership Iberia program.
The Greater Iberia Business Impact Award will also be presented to an area business that has demonstrated significant business growth.
