LSU football wraps up practice

Next stop, Atlanta.

The LSU Tigers wrapped up their pre-Christmas practice schedule for the Dec. 31 Chick-fil-A Bowl with a scrimmage on Saturday inside their indoor practice facility.

The Tigers will now take a three-day break for Christmas before reconvening in Atlanta on Wednesday.

No. 9-ranked LSU will face No. 14 Clemson (both 10-2) on New Year’s Eve in the Georgia Dome. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. CST on ESPN.

Saturday’s scrimmage was closed to the media, though “Santa Claus” attended the practice session, working the sideline chains.

The scrimmage marked LSU’s eighth bowl practice session.
