WALKER — A Walker man wanted since September on drug distribution warrants was found with the help of a Crime Stoppers tip and arrested Monday, along with three of his relatives accused of attempting to incite a riot, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
When deputies tried to arrest David Carter, 27, 12550 Dunn St., while he was seated in a vehicle, Carter got out and started running away, Sheriff Jason Ard said in a news release Wednesday.
Deputies caught up to Carter, who allegedly resisted arrest and was found to have four Hydrocodone pills and two Roxycodone pills on his person without a valid prescription, Ard said.
After Carter’s arrest, several of his family members and friends allegedly began to incite a riot, the sheriff said.
Those arrested and the counts on which they were booked, according to the Sheriff’s Office, are:
Alexis, Jeremy and Kevin Carter posted bail and were released from the Livingston Parish Detention Center, Ard said.
David Carter remained in the Livingston Parish Detention Center because a hold was placed on him for failure to appear, Ard said.
