Broccoli slaw is available in many large grocery stores in the produce section, near the lettuce and cabbages. It’s shredded broccoli stems and comes in a baglike cabbage slaw.

With the new apple crop and delicious Louisiana oranges, I think this Broccoli Slaw With Fruit is a good salad to serve at this time of the year.

The salad is a mix of broccoli slaw, oranges, apples, grapes, dried cranberries and toasted pecans with poppy seed or Vidalia onion dressing. The best thing about this salad is that it can be made ahead of time.
