DUTCHTOWN — Three teenagers have been arrested following an investigation into the vandalism of Christmas decorations in the Old Dutchtown Subdivision.
Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley said in a news release that the three suspects were identified from an anonymous tip after 18 homes in the neighborhood suffered vandalism of their Christmas decorations, including one home that had a $35,000 display destroyed.
Roarke Dunn, 17, and Rendell Reid, no age given, who both live in an apartment complex at 13170 Dutchtown Point Ave., in Geismar, were arrested Thursday by Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives.
The third suspect, Adam Dellucci, 17, 5274 Chotau Road, Brusly, was arrested on Thursday in Brusly and transported to Ascension Parish Jail, Wiley said.
All three teens were booked on 19 counts of criminal trespass, 18 counts of misdemeanor criminal damage to property and one count each of criminal mischief and felony criminal damage to property.
“While this type of senseless crime shocks the conscience of everyone who cares about personal property and the Christmas season, this crime also served as a catalyst for the affected neighborhood to come together and do what neighbors should do, which is help each other out,” Wiley said.
