Trivia Night celebrates┬áTolkien, ‘Hobbit’ release

It’s the entertainment event of the season: the release Friday of “The Hobbit,” the long-awaited film based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic.

To celebrate the new movie, Tolkien fans 10-17 years old are invited to test their Hobbit IQ at the library’s J.R.R. Tolkien Trivia Night, on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Latter Branch Library.

Prizes include “Lord of the Rings” DVDs, free passes to see “The Hobbit,” a Lego board game based on the book and more.

Patrons can also pick up a free copy of “The Hobbit” at Latter while supplies last.

The branch is located at 5120 St. Charles Ave. Call them at (504) 596-2625.
