Women Outreaching Women is collecting old cellphones. WOW’s goal is to collect 100 cellphones before Saturday and needs 84 more to reach that goal.

WOW is a nonprofit organization for battered women and their children that operates the only battered women’s shelter in Livingston Parish.
The Louisiana Center for Theatrical Arts will feature “Alice in Wonderland” at 6 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church of Hammond, 2200 Rue Denise.

Denham Springs High School’s Jackets Against Destructive Decisions will host the Sixth annual Breakfast with Santa from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the school, 1000 N. Range Ave., in Denham Springs.
Children will have a pancake breakfast with Santa Claus and spend the day playing games, making crafts, singing carols as well as lots of other fun.
This is a great time for parents to drop off the kids and get some Christmas shopping done. The cost is $15 per child and $10 for each additional child.

Sidney Hutchinson Park in Walker has been transformed into the Walker Wonderland with thousands of lights and animated displays and nightly Movies Under the Stars featuring family-friendly movies on the big screen, city officials said.
The park is open for tours and movies from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. through Dec. 31.
Admission is free.
On Saturday, visitors can view the Country Christmas Festival beginning at 4 p.m., stroll through the Walker Wonderland, sing along with caroling choirs, hop aboard the Polar Express for a train ride around the park, bounce around or slide down inflatables, drink free hot chocolate, dine on festival cuisine and await the arrival of Santa Claus.
