Evergreen Mardi Gras

Ride on the Leviathan float in a New Orleans Mardi Gras parade and attend the black-tie party that follows.

WHAT: To raise money for Evergreen Life Services, the Krewe of Orpheus is donating two seats to ride in its Feb. 11, 2012 Mardi Gras parade and attend Orpheuscapade, the black-tie after party in New Orleans.

WHEN: The winner will be chosen on Wednesday.

DETAILS: The prize package, valued at $3,000, includes beverages, food and costumes as well as a seat at the Leviathan float lieutenants table during the after party. Evergreen Life Services addresses the needs of those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Breakfast with Santa

Start off the day with the big guy.

WHAT: The final weekend for the Enchanted Mansion doll museum’s breakfast with Santa sessions.

WHEN: 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Holidays arts market

Whittle down that Christmas shopping list with some handmade gifts.

WHAT: The Baton Rouge Arts Market usually just comes the first Saturday of the month, but the Art Council of Greater Baton Rouge is offering three times in December.

WHEN: The final market for December is from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.

WHERE: Fifth and Main Streets in downtown Baton Rouge.
