Andy Martin of the Greater Baton Rouge Model Railroaders spoke about model trains and demonstrated a steam engine for the Red Stick Chapter of the American Ex-Prisoners of War on Nov. 6 at Hollywood Casino. Bob Schilling assisted him.
Martin explained the different scales of model trains from the larger garden railroad for the outdoors to the HO scale, N scale, O scale, toy and live steam trains. POWs told about their train ride when they were sent to prison camps during WWII.
Martin invited members to go to Jackson on the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to see their very large exhibit, which includes all the different scales and a steam engine.
