The Stem and Stamen Garden Club of Amite is raffling off a quilt to raise money for community projects. The beautiful purple, green and white quilt was made and donated by a member of the garden club. The quilt is 80 inches by 80 inches or queen size.

The drawing will be at 9 a.m. Dec. 20 at the Amite Chamber of Commerce office, 101 S.E. Central Ave., Amite.

Tickets are $1 and those participating in the raffle do not have to be present to win, organizers said. Tickets can be purchased at Mike’s Catfish Inn, Tangi Talk Barbershop or from any Garden Club member.

Garden Club members are instrumental in cleaning up Amite, the downtown rose bushes plantings and the corner flower beds in town.
