East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a white male who robbed the Chase Bank, 7171 Corporate Blvd., in Towne Center at about 3 p.m. Thursday, a spokeswoman said.
The man walked in the front door wearing dark jeans, a dark-colored jacket, sunglasses and a stocking cap, with no visible weapon, and gave the teller a note demanding money, spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said.
He then left out the front door with an undisclosed amount of money and walked toward the rear of the bank, Hicks said.

Authorities arrested at least five people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 p.m. Thursday, booking records show.

Baton Rouge police officers arrested five suspects for selling magazines door to door without the proper license Thursday afternoon, a spokesman said.
Officers arrested five people who were sitting in a white van near the 1900 block of Oleander St. about 12:30 p.m., after receiving several complaints from residents about groups of three to five people knocking on doors and peering into windows trying to sell magazines, spokesman Cpl. Tommy Stubbs said.

count each of operating as a “rolling vendor” without a license:
