GIRLS ON THE RUN 5K

DETAILS: The 5K race is open to people of all ages and will raise funds for the Girls on the Run of Greater Baton Rouge scholarship fund, which gives more than 500 girls in need a chance to participate in the Girls on the Run of Greater Baton Rouge’s 10-week after-school program. The program includes fun running games and activities to help third- through eighth-grade girls create healthy habits and serve as leaders in the community. The program concludes with this noncompetitive 5K race that gives the girls a chance to feel a sense of accomplishment. Girls on the Run of Greater Baton Rouge is a nonprofit organization that serves girls in public and private schools. After the race, participants can enjoy a pancake breakfast while listening to music and participating in fun activities. Online registration will be open until Thursday and is $25. Registration on the day of the race is $30.

GREEN SANTA PROJECT
