A Baton Rouge teenager was indicted Wednesday in the Aug. 6 shooting death of a 24-year-old man outside an apartment complex on Wyoming Street.
An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury charged Deldrige Robinson, 17, 985 W. Grant St., with second-degree murder in the killing of Travis Holland.
Robinson, who was 16 at the time of the incident, could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted as charged.
The fatal shooting happened about 10:30 p.m. outside the Pueblo Apartments at 3225 Wyoming St., near LSU, according to Baton Rouge police.
Holland was shot during an attempted robbery after he stepped outside his apartment to smoke a cigarette, police have said.
The case has been assigned to state District Judge Don Johnson.
