NATCHITOCHES -- Baker High's Dynasty Williams and St. Michael the Archangel grabbed titles to help open up the the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Cross Country Championships on Tuesday.
Williams was the individual champion in the 3A girls race in 19 minutes, 46.05 seconds at Northwestern State's Walter Ledet Track Complex.
St. Michael won its first Class 4A girls title since 2009 by placing Haley Gregoire (fourth) and Allie Stone (sixth). The Warriors finished with 61 points to finish ahead of St. Thomas More (78) and Benton (93).
