Keith Tillage, co-owner of Tillage Construction LLC in Baton Rouge, has been named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2012 Region VI Minority Small Business Person of the Year.

Allen and Ginny Nipper, of Addis, have been named 2012 Communicators of the Year by the Arkansas Forestry Association. The Nippers, who own land in southwest Arkansas and north and central Louisiana, were honored for establishing the Landowner Legacy Communication program, LandownerLegacy.com. The program helps families or family businesses organize and conduct meetings to deal with transferring property from one generation to the next.

Albert S. Pappalardo, president of Pappalardo Consultants Inc. in New Orleans, has been awarded the 2012 James D. Landauer / John R. White Award by The Counselors of Real Estate in recognition of his outstanding professionalism and commitment to service within the real estate industry and the world.

The Louisiana Industrial Development Executives Association announced three recipients of the Certified Louisiana Economic Developer designation through the Louisiana Economic Development Certification program. They are Abigail Depino, vice president of the Livingston Economic Development Council; Frank Fink, director of economic development for St. Mary Parish government; and Cindy Cutrera, manager of economic development for the Port of Morgan City. Certification is based on meeting educational and final case study requirements.
